I think it is really useful that you have compared it to diabetes - that's an anlogy I have used to describe what is an illness, not a moral failing.<br /><br />I think the DSM now calls it a disorder, which is probably a better word than disease.<br /><br />I found it really useful for you to note that we have to look at the treatment outcomes on a continuum of management.
