Cannabis withdrawel is a very real thing for some people. Maybe not you but I know of many people who experience mild flu like symptoms for weeks after they quit. It is more common with heavy and prolonged users to get these symptoms. I am so avid on responding to this because I once had a someone tell me that getting sweaty and losing appetite from quitting was due to pre existing mental illness and that it was basically all in my head because " no one they ever talked to experienced this" .. See what I mean? Don't discredit others experience because you yourself have not experienced this..also are these people your talking to daily users? Or just casual smokers.. Because you will get different effects for people who have only been smoking a few times a week for a few years vs. People like me who have smoked 7+ years every day heavily.. ...https://www.blogger.com/profile/13395248838955879043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-142743152971096915.post-63422833302391271102018-04-20T10:35:02.386-05:002018-04-20T10:35:02.386-05:00Excellent post. At first it ...Yeah..I Vaped herb for a year, daily. At first it feels amazing. As time went on, I noticed my emotions becoming irrational . I would freak out about things way easier. I started only living for when I was going to smoke weed. Pretty soon I couldn't respond to anything without being overly emotional or easily upset . I couldn't deal with little basic things. It is like I was becoming mentally ill. Pretty soon I got to the point where if I got in a fight with my husband (which I made easy) I would feel like cutting myself or killing myself because my emotions were so extreme .Almost induced bipolar or something I can't explain it. I actually ended up going to a mental hospital for two weeks where I obviously had to cold turkey detox . The night sweats were insane I would wake up drenched and shivering so bad I could not get warmed up until I took a shower and even then it took forever to get warmed up. Shivering so bad I could barely take it. It took a good while for me to get back on track. I was irritable and overly emotional for a long time. I started lexapro. a year went by and I was doing pretty good. I tell myself oh maybe I could just have it one time so I do it and I think maybe it didn't really cause all that stuff before I'm just being weird. So I start doing it every day for about a month-and-a-half and I see it all coming back I start freaking out about everything my kid does one little tiny thing and I freaked out like it's the biggest deal in the world. Everything is annoying me just ridiculous. Like I said it all starts out good for a few weeks until I do it too much daily then it all starts to go bad. Of course I wanted to not believe this but when I am totally normal and then I start feeling like a crazy person I have to pay attention. So now I'm back on second week of cold turkey after just a couple months and I am also having the same symptoms again the night sweats are so fun and the irritability. It only took a couple days this time for me to realize how crazy it was I was even doing it. The day I decided to quit I was crying to my husband saying why can't I feel good every day it's not fair why can't I keep smoking why does it do this to me? It's real people. If it hasn't happened to you then shut your face you have no idea. If you have no withdrawals and you feel totally fine when you quit then obviously you didn't have that big of an addiction or you just have a very special brain and body makeup. Most people cannot do something daily or multiple times daily and then just quit and be okay. It just scares me because a lot of kids now think it is like medication and they think if they do it a bunch of won't hurt them it'll just help them... Because it is medication. Or at least that's what I thought. Everything in moderation. Some of us don't know how to do moderation with weed so it is not good for us. If you're feeling great then keep on doing it. Now my sister gets migraines occasionally and she just does a little bit to ease pain .That is totally reasonable. I googled and could find nothing so I assumed it was something else. I went to doctors, allergists, and nothing and then it just stopped.

I started smoking pot again and stopped again and on about day 18, same symptoms returned. That annoying burning skin like a mild sunburn, stinging eyes and sweaty palms is back. So I really do think this is the price I paid for smoking so heavily. I was aware of the emotional issues I would go through, having been told through the media that I couldn't actually be "addicted" but was instead "psychologically dependent", so I was prepared to feel those kind of effects. Though I knew cannabis addiction was real based on my behaviour/use, I was not aware of was that there would be this level of physical withdrawal as well. It's now day 7 of abstinence and the utter exhaustion, insomnia, temperature disregulation and terrible stomach pain seem to have passed, but itchiness started a couple of days ago and was completely unexpected. A Google search to find out if this was related to cannabis withdrawal is what led me here and thankfully I'm not losing it and don't have delusional parasitosis. I'm not alone in having this symptom of withdrawal, along with many of the others described above. I'm one of those for whom there is no "little bit of weed". It's all or it's none. I've made my choice. It has helped a lot to read what others have gone through. I think the rage and extreme irritation that accompanies cannabis detox gets missed by a lot of users and drug therapists. It's easy to think potheads are just angry at not smoking, when in fact the uncontrollable anger and constant bubbling irritation are the metabolic results of detox, not an attitude toward it.Dirk Hansonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07429793255785560043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-142743152971096915.post-80945486394292465752017-02-09T01:00:29.163-06:002017-02-09T01:00:29.163-06:00I first smoked weed when I was 18. Then I started to feel like I needed it to function and cope with stress but when I stopped I only had mild withdrawal. About nine years later the withdrawals became worse and worse and I was smoking more and more. I've been through withdrawal so many times but I still don't learn. I'm 35 now and on day 4. I can't sleep at all and I'm in a constant rage. This isn't surprising to me because it happened when I stopped last time 6 months ago for a few months and before then too. (Respected)

I stopped smoking 'the herb' about 10 days ago and it's the worst I've EVER felt coming off it tbh! Very had what all you peeps have described from the terrible nausea to utterly sleepless nights. I get about 3 hours if lucky, but I can live with that (find it best just to get up) it's the spaced out feeling when trying to focus along with bad insides that's the worst for sure. I realise I was masking certain things maybe when 'puffing da 'erb' however it's not just anxiety/depression for crying out loud!

As said before the stuff these days is like Crack! I smoked 24/7 up until 2004 when I first went to rehab which was nothing..... These days it's a totally different kettle of fish what with certain strains, dodgy grows etc etc which obviously is not good.

Sorry to ramble, but just to say it's got better since day 1! What with terrible dry heaving & sickness feelings subsiding a tad although the despair inside is truly terrible plus isn't easy to 'work out'/keep busy because of these feelings that are truly prevalent. Just take it 'one day at a time' so those days will tun to weeks then months etc..... The anxiety is obviously magnified when stopping this lazy poison so please hold on ALL & hopefully we'll never take it again. ..... It's been about a week since I stopped. The most immediate withdrawal symptom, for me, is the increased time it takes to fall asleep, next is the onset of super awesome vivid dreams, then a weird sort of eye strain that's almost like linked to my forehead (on and off, can be relieved by applying pressure on forehead at hairline or between eyes, with eyes closed). General conversation and listening to people's story's is taxing and boring instead of engaging and normal, I just feel like getting it over with asap. The emotional problems are definitely specific to a person's current position in life. If you're quitting off the back of something positive and are surrounded by people who support you in general, even if they don't realise you're suffering from withdrawal, it makes coping much easier. Remember to make an effort to be interested in conversation now and again even if it feels unnatural and unnecessary.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-142743152971096915.post-305781040869711422016-09-29T11:17:38.222-05:002016-09-29T11:17:38.222-05:00I am reminded of the old line: If you think you mi...I am reminded of the old line: If you think you might have a problem with marijuana, you probably do. ;)Dirk Hansonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07429793255785560043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-142743152971096915.post-62392289828943282272016-09-29T10:43:06.744-05:002016-09-29T10:43:06.744-05:00I've been smoking for 2 years & decided to...I've been smoking for 2 years & decided to quit.
